MSDE's full School Readiness report
The Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) website and the Maryland Committee for Children website have information on various aspects of Maryland’s school-readiness efforts. These include:
- Children Entering School Ready to Learn: School Readiness Information, School Year 2006-2007. This report has school readiness data by state and county, by domain (skill areas such as “social and personal,” “language and literacy,” etc), by race/ethnicity, by type of prior care (for example, child care center or family child care), and by gender.
» Children Entering School Ready to Learn - Maryland Model for School Readiness (MMSR), a framework for assessment, instruction, family communication, and articulation among programs. MMSR can be used by child care providers, pre-kindergarten and kindergarten programs.
